Today many are asking, "What the heck happened to men?"
In 2021, I set out to produce a Netflix-style documentary series "The Renaissance of Men" to answer that question.
In this video overview produced in 2022, I provide my explanation for what's been done to men over generations.
In short... men had to be torn down to make room for women.
This was done in stages—shattering men's bodies, minds, and spirits—starting with the Industrial Revolution and accelerating in the aftermath of World Wars 1 and 2.
In other words, we did not get here by accident.
The solution to the problem is not a fascist counter-reaction. The Victor/Victim cycle will not produce a just outcome. It will only keep the process going around and around.
The answer is Christ, and the portrait of the family and its centrality depicted in the Word of God.
Both men and women must agree to this model by consent, taking up their assigned roles willingly. They cannot be forced, only encouraged.
Repentance, and a heart transformation away from pride & cowardice is the only way forward. That is the only model provided in scripture.
Many don't want to hear this. They want to take up the sword, conquer, and shed blood. But Christian men can't gain a family by violent conquest. That's what pagans do.
Regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit is a heart transformation, like falling in love for humans.
So any future just society for men and women must be based on that love for each other and for God.
There are no shortcuts.
Righteousness is not a quick or easy process. If civilization collapses first, that will be God's providence and no less than what we deserve.
Many men have forgotten Mark 8:36, "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?"
Too many men seem eager to toss away their souls to "save the world."
They will lose both in the attempt.
Though ultimately "The Renaissance of Men" as a documentary failed—something for which I'm grateful—my sincere hope is that this video answers some of the questions about:
How we got here
What men have tried to do about it
and..
Why the answer is Christ alone.
